Airtel 3G Tariffs and Packages

I got the below response from them (The same i got three times yesterday, today one time)

well... i am sort of supportive of airtel on this one at least. reliance 3g launch has been a sham. tata docomo has limited coverage and i am not sure if the people using it are happy or not. airtel and vodafone are two of the largest service providers in the market. they cannot launch their 3G services prematurely. if their customers suffer the similar problems faced by docomo or reliance customers, it would be a major PR nightmare for them.

In this case they should clearly said it may going to delay. Just keep quit is not good.

if ANY airtel official states it on paper that the service is delayed, it would be sold by the media (blogs!) as a failure on airtel's part. that is why they did not really talk about a launch deadline. look at the launch of iPhone 4. both airtel and vodafone hinted that it would be launched before the end of the year. you can still probably find a press release on vodafone website. airtel? they did not issue any press release. and i remember there were only some statement made by a representative.

Am pretty sure that they would have planned to launch by Christmas but technical snags would have delayed the same...

Airtel 3g demo is on in bangalore, saw thier Big red bus on route to Marathalli near the JP morgan offices, where they were giving pamphlet and demo of the same.
