Airtel 3G Tariffs and Packages

Yes *567*1# will work only for prepaid. I thought you have a prepaid conn.
Did airtel presence team contacted you about free data plan? If they tell you that its applicable only on 2G n/w then tell them that you have in writing that its applicable only on 3G n/w.
I have an email from airtel presence team confirming that handset offers are applicable only once 3G services are activated.

if they are indeed charging so high on roaming, i would stay away. one of the major use of edge on my phone is to use it for gps on the move.

About selecting 3G plan, I guess you need to send 3G to 121 again after the 3G is activated(I don't think it will deactivate 3G but gives you options to select 3G plans). I am not sure about it as I called "paid" customer care to enable the plan

The free 2GB for N8 is applicable for 2G too. I am availing that offer last two months (Chennai - Postpaid). I am sure i will get that free 2GB once they introduced 3G in chennai (of course next 4 months). Meanwhile any one from Karnataka activated that free data.

I had this offer enabled before 3G but this pack is gone when I enabled 3G as any previous 2G packs will be unsubscribed when you enable 3G. I have emailed airtel presence to enable the pack again as they emailed Dhananjay that it is valid for 3G too...

Ideally yes. but none of the customer care executives said it is valid for 3G. Only airtel presence said it is valid on 3G too... So Airtel presence has to give the explanation...

Do anybody how much does a voice call or a video call cost on Airtel 3g service? I cannot find anything on Airtel site except their data rates. Airtel CC does not have a clue

Me too got a mail from airtel "Airtel coming to chennai!!!A noob question. Why they have first launched in south? Are we guinea pigs?....lol
