Yes, even I'm interested in knowing what speeds one can expect on say... Airtel 3G or TATA DOCOMO 3G. :huh:

Well going by indian standards & my experience after using BSNL 3g. One should experience an average speed of 1 - 1.5 Mbps(when significantly close 'or' in line of sight to the 3g tower) in initial stages & do expect drop in speed as the network gets congested if many users subscribe in the same area - This is what happened for TATA & Reliance CDMA(upto 3.1 Mbps) wireless broadband connections lately.

i get anywhere between 200 kbps to 1.3 Mbps on MTNL 3g

on their website Airtel shows HSPA network , for the god sake , can anybody tell me , is it HSPA ready or FULL HSPA ?

BSNL 3G is provided HSDPA 3.4mbps and in some places 7.2mbps , HSPA is very advance network it speeds ca go beyond 21mbps

Airtel is again start from day one to fool people ,

^ Regardless of whether 21Mbps is possible on their network you will not get that speed. Even today on the EDGE network Airtel provides 43kbps.
