adding to this problem, i am also facing frequent DNS issues. I also have a weird feeling it has something to do with DNS resolution. when the torrent starts, it does do a DNS lookup and once that is resolved, the actual p2p between the files start. maybe because of this dns issue, torrents are unable to connect.hope this helps in troubleshooting the problem?

yes fuktel has decided to throttle kill torrent speeds...I dnt why they advertise about downd song and movie faster then...if they want to throttle the torrents the only ISP that advertises like this.

cmon guys, there must be a way to bypass this? :(if i change the DNS servers for my network connection from those crappy airtel servers, would that help? also, can anyone please share some fast DNS servers?

Yes. I live is NCR and i am also facing this issue. I have written an email to various authorities and waiting for a response. I will publish the response from them as soon as i receive one.

Nowadays i cant even get my private tracker torrents to start downloading during the day with the fup and the throttling both in place...

i received following reply from airtel

I live in NCR too and i too download stuff from link-removed etc, no issues here.Tried another torrent client or check for updates ??

Well even I have been facing similar problems for last couple of weeks now. All other stuff u download works fine on the 2 mbps connection I have and I get max speeds, but its only for public torrents that the speeds are reduced to maybe 1/5th. Surprisingly, I have noted that after 11 pm...I manage to get full speeds which are not there in daytime as well. So maybe they r throttling the torrents in daytime....Airtel !!!
