Perhaps this would lead to dissatisfaction for almost all the people using internet because most of the primary motive for use is downloading movies, music, games etc and which would lead to angry mob facing these issue and atlast government being forced to remove this critical act...

Well, what is funny is that again, the websites themselves are not the culprits, they just facilitate activities which is not legal. Users should rise up and complain against this. It's a violation of our freedom.

Yep. Many p2p websites have been blocked by Airtel as per some "court orders". Private trackers like DT and What.cd still run fine. Tor or public proxies are very slow, and ethically you should not use Tor for downloading large files.

Max torrent sites r blocked :cursing:

----------

some tamil torrent sites also blocked is any open able to open :secret:

link-removed, dailymotion, vimeo also blocked ..Courts in India r really a joke .. anyone can get whtever order they may like ..

Can't blame Airtel. It is Reliance which has obtained a John Doe order from the Delhi High Court. ISPs have to comply. Haven't read the order so not sure if ISPs have misread it and are blocking websites without any caution, or if the judgement actually directs ISPs to block file/video sharing websites at will, in which case it needs to be challenged in the SC.

link-removed blocked. wow.

i can use it with https though. freaking arsehats.

How are they blocking sites without any court order.

Ah so there is an order. I thought DoT had unilaterally issued the ban
