if that becomes the case, i am going to get a new connection every 6 months. blah. idiots. dumb asses.

yeap it would. but the fact is that it costs a lot for airtel when a customer disconnects. ;)i was just speaking for fcuk's sake. of course i would not deal with the nonsense if they threw it at me.

wont new connection cost installation charge everytime?

Yes it will. But when we are convinced to disconnect Airtel then why we need to take it again? We can go to some other once for all. Airtel's FUP is very bad.

I hope the damn Airtel guys too visit & comment on this thread...who knows? I think they want this thread go on & on causing confusion among us:@

I think what that mail meant to say is, it won't be applicable to customers who signed up before the FUP was brought in and have been on that tariff plan for less then 6 months since this is a TRAI directive: "No increase permissible in any component/specification of tariff for a period of six months from the enrollment of a customer under a tariff plan." But the change/increase will be effective immediately to subscribers who've been on the tariff plan for more than 6 months and new customers who subscribe to the plan subsequent to the introduction of FUP.

from what i see, it means that any new customer won't come under FUP for a period of 6 months.

I think you have got it right. And hence the word "not apllicable for new existing customers who is less than 06 months".

Anyways, I am in no mood to call up 121 for any clarification:eek:

i am pretty shocked to see how airtel is managing this mess they have in their hands.

Really ?

I feel like Airtel has started a disinformation campaign to give different versions to different customers.

Let's see, first they try to divide the opposition and now they confuse.

From that perspective it does not look like a mess, rather it appears clinical in execution.

So why should they even bother then. They have those contracts that let them do what they want isn't it :)

We need to keep ON doing whatever it is they think we are doing.

If they only reacted towards Tata's move then would more publicity about ALL ISPs that follow this FUP crap help ?

Would the bigger media houses take more interest if it can be shown that more than 'a' company is resorting to these tactics ?

The petition becomes more relevant, the more ISPs abuse us.
