Airtel Broadband Fair Usage Policy

Sorry for being off-topic here, but i think even the Airtel.in server has exceeded its bandwidth limit and its speed has been halved, as its page is loading very slow for me. :dance: So we should be happy we are not alone in our misery

seems airtel people are around the site, trying remove tell tale signs.

they have a recursive validity reduction thing. in day time, you can download upto 150mb... if you go beyond that... say 151 mb, one day validity ( of prepaid plan) cut. then if you go 176 mb.. one more...and so on :)

sometimes they open up bandwidth in the day..sudden 2mbps on a 128kbps plan...and you forget the 150 limit and download lots of data...and realise next day how sify screwed ya.
 
It seems reliance has better plans for the same cost.
300kbps UL for 799.
400kbps UL for 999.
600kbps UL for 1399.
while airtel gives 256kbps, 384kbps & 512kbps for the same price.

Never ever go for Reliance, My connection is down from last 10 days.. And no action till now.. I end up calling them everyday..But no use.. :@

And this is the case every month..
 
yeah. reliance has a history of bad service and terrible customer support.

no wonder they are always providing services at attractive prices. but in the end people who need reliability stay away from them.

Airtel has just confirmed that they have not implemented the fair usage policy in delhi ncr region.

but this does not really mean that they are not going to.

the mail also states that they would inform the users if they indeed go ahead with any kind of policy change.

i guess they forgot to do that with their customers in south india.

this is complete crapshit.
 
I cant take Airtel because of feasibility issues..BSNL will take time as there hub is full and they gave me WL19.. I ended up going for Reliance.. CC is very pathetic and dumb ! They dont know anything apart than Issuing complain number..
 
Is it just me or is anyone else noticing the airtel.in site to be down for the last 1 hour? This may be off-topic but do you think a website update is on the way which calls out the fair use policy or completely removes it?- Your friendly neighbourhood conspiracy theorist :cool2:
 
looking at the mail i just got, it is not going away. in fact, they just might be adding for north indian customers. i think the messages would be soon in our mails as well. telling us about the implementation of fair usage policy in the delhi ncr region.
