I am sure ISPs must have forced TRAI to implement this, so as to force customers to shell out more to upgrade to a higher plan.Need a 512k UL plan, get a 1mbps UL one :wall:

they are importing rules and regulations from abroad minus their speeds and download limits..

Many ISP's in developed countries abroad do have this "fair usage" clause in their unltd. plan contracts..but they offer multi-megabit speeds and decent/reasonable download limits after which this policy kicks in and reduces the speed of unltd plans..

why is TRAI implementing this on bullock cart speed plans is anybody's guess

LOL @ bullock cart speed plans!!

abt importing policies, remember USA is consumer friendly country. consumer is given first priority/consideration.

in India, its opposite. rich companies decide what they want and with political influence get things going.

I had a NU 256Kbps and my usage was not metered. Now when I updated to same NU @2Mbps, the usagewas metered leading to confusion. After i contactedNodal Nu 0900PM to 0800AM at @2mbps is not metered.Bangalore CC called me and said it is a simple matterand may be set the counter not to record during NU. I wonder , whether they could be recording it now, and very unlikely.Record unlimited usage, take print out, analyse the dataand then setting limit seems far fetched.I think U/L users need not worry.Till date , Airtel has not changed the usage conditionsof EXISTING customers. Very few are getting NU ,that too at@2Mbps now.

would break a lot of links. this is going to be bad. i am going ditch everything remotely related to airtel.

nice name of facebook group@cyberwiz, actually i didnt mean that i didnt know the term. what i meant is TRAI brings out new terms in regulation book. kind of like slumdog, bailout, these terms are becoming famous.

hey its worldwide
