I really hate caps..Im paying for the connection..I can use as much as I want..They don't guarantee their speeds..most of us experiences slowdowns on MTNL..even with TATA if you do a speedtest to a server located abroad you rarely get above 500kbps during daytime..Just vote with your wallet if you have the option and drop their connection..Wonder if they would start throttling P2P like Bell Canada and others do ?

Earlier MTNL used to write something like this on their tariff page:"2mbps speed guaranteed upto MTNL network only"that line is gone though, now.

I see some new plans on Airtel site for Delhi. I think plans such as Value Combo 749, Value Combo 899 did not exist before. No 384kbps plan mentioned. Weird. :O

bbs(buliten based system) and fidonet.its the future and cant be censored
its a pre WWW tech.
eg
start and click run and type telnet://bbs.dmine.net

this is the future.This is tel net but you dont need a isp if you dialup meaing connect directly to the bbs site but your phone bill would go up and to be global you need to know fidonet which is totally censorship resistent
