now appearing in tariff plans .

.

Some of the people are not able to find some of the plans. Some plans have been moved to the tab "Internet Plans" from the tab "Broadband plans". Because Airtel knows that after reducing the speeds on 256kb UL plans it wont be able to call it broadband as per TRAI regulations. Hence some plans moved to the tab "Internet Plans". I dont know if same is the case in all the cities. But in Karnataka this is the case. :P

and theygot the hints on that from here. no only if trai realises tha this will REDUCE the broadband penetration... negative growth..

negative growth?bsnl had plans to give away free internet plans with all their landlines... so basically whether you use it or not u have an internet plan. with i think 250MB data transfer. the aim was the meet the target set by the government for 'internet penetration'.we are still lagging massively there.

say airtel had 1 lac 256ul connections, they're all 'internet' connections now. so there, you see a negative trend in numbers. and majority of airtel UL connections are 256kbps....atleast most peopl i now have the same plan as me. :)

it remains to be seen if airtel would report 256 kbps ul users who come under AFUP as internet users and not broadband users :)

i mean to say the reports which are provided to trai or other bodieswhich calculate the total number of internet and broadband customers we have here in india.

here is the summary of the plans by airtel :wall:.
i think airtel is going through heavy loss in thats why they are trying to cut down their expenditure :P
