It seems airtel comes down at last.In Tamilnadu also airtel plans now changed.256kbps with 50GB download limit & after 128kbps.some what ok. but it seems they reduced uploads. So torrents going to die unless they find some other way.

our low speed DL's wontmess up worldwide torrent downloads for sure, some of the countries with faster conns(US,UK,etc) can take the extra seeding load for now..

but how to know greedy torrent is working.
after configuring utorrent...greedy torrent started running in log view of greedy torrent.
is that proof that its working?

actually the link u gave leads to a error page, but after 1-2 click it goes to the greedytorrent.com.
But the opendns showing in my reply is really strange to me.
I don't know what happened, i replied with quote.

also, has anyone realised that airtel does not give a DSL connection, but gives an ADSL connection in which officialy(atleast thats what i was told while taking the connection) the upload speed is 1/8th the DL speed, acc to which, the max data u can transfer comes to

256kbps - 89GB(36 kB*60*60*24*30)
384kbps - 134GB ((384+384/8)kb*60*60*24*30)
512kbps - 178GB ((512+512/8)kb*60*60*24*30)
1Mbps - 356GB((1024+1024/8)kb*60*60*24*30)

airtel has same upload and download speeds on all packages except for 1 mbps.

on 1mbps plans, the upload speeds are 512kbps.

With these new plans, here's what they are actually called.


--(Home 2222 Plus)-- 1 Mbps till 100GB, 512 kbps beyond 100GB

--(Home 1499 Plus)-- 512 Kbps till 100GB, 256 kbps beyond 100GB

--(Value Combo 1199)-- 384 kbps till 75GB, 256 kbps beyond 75GB

--(Value Combo 799)-- 256 kbps till 50GB, 128 kbps beyond 50GB


these are from the karnataka plans ,,


so the online pressure is working?

I hate limits on unlimited but AFUP is much better with 50GB for 256kbps, way better than 15GB.. now they can term it as "Fair Usage Level" - as far as I am concerned. this forum can also take credit for this change.. :cool2::yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:
