Airtel Broadband Fair Usage Policy

AIRTEL FAIR USAGE POLICY

AIRTEL IS PROVIDING 512 KPBS SPEED TO 256 KPBS UNLIMITED CUSTOMERS .
CUSTOMERS ARE PAYING 649 RS FOR 512 KPBS SPEED.

BUT

AIRTEL IS PROVIDING SAME SPEED (512 KPBS) @ RS 1099 IN THEIR Swift 1099 PLAN.
IF AIRTEL IS PROVIDING SAME SPEED IN 649 THEN WHY SOME CUSTOMERS ARE PAYING
MORE FOR IT????????????

1099 - 650 = RS 450 EXTRA FOR SAME SPEED.
TWO PLANS WITH SAME SPEED BUT DIFFERENT CHARGES.
SWIFT 1099 CUSTOMERS PLEASE CHANGE YOUR PLANTO 256 UNLIMITED PLAN YOU WILL GET SAME SPEED IN THIS PLAN .

Checked AirTel website Broadband Plans- Broadband Tariffs- Internet Connection Provider in India:Airtel

For Delhi:- 2 New Plans added
1) Value Speed Combo 899 @ 2Mbps[ 256 kbps after 7 GB.Applicable in Delhi City Only (Not Available in Gurgaon,Noida,Faridabad and Ghaziabad) Service Charges Extra will apply]

2) High Speed Combo 999 @ 2Mbps[64 kbps after 7 GB.Applicable in Delhi City Only (Not Available in Gurgaon,Noida,Faridabad and Ghaziabad).Service Charges extra will apply]

These plans not available now... but they replaced with 4MBPS plans

hey guys good news ....
I am getting 512 speed with no Fair Usage Policy...
let me share the story on how I doubled my speed without paying extra penny..
I got angry when some days before I discovered that Fair Usage Policy has been implemented on 650 Unlimited plan.
I called cc and they confirmed that I have been FUPed..

Now I got an idea to play age old trick. It works 90% of time in case of private company(dont even try to implement this trick on GOVT company. ).
I called cc and said that I want to surrender my connection. As expected, those dumb a** tried to convince me but I backed up my decision. The call was forwareded to Retention DEPT. I said to them in one line "Double my speed with no Fair Usage Policy or just take away ur connection".
OK,was the answer from that side. :thumb:

mind u, that my call rates have been covnerted to 1paise/sec (perviously it was 1.20rs/180 sec). but i dont mind that...:cool2:

Sorry dude, but am sure they will come back with a FUP sooner or later. The FUP has to go away, by a protest from all of us to all our ISPs because otherwise it is going to be a never ending cry. This is totally unfair and amounts to cheating. The more of us protest the better. All of us should call, email, send letters to TRAI and these ISPs about our wish to remove the FUP, increase the speeds and lower the costs. We are being taken for a ride already, compared to other developing countries.

hi, im on the Turbo 1299 plan- Day 512/Night 1 Mbps . i have a question regarding FUP for this plan- is FUP for this plan 100 GB and does that include both download\upload data or only the download data is counted?
