Its a matter of time, we will come out of this quicksand called FUP.If some famous ISP advertises that there is no FUP in their plans, then every other ISP have to follow it, just like it happened with per sec plans in mobiles.

Yep.. Sify has started doing just that.. Though Sify is Sify
Even my neighbours who use mtnl feel thats it slow compared to HATHWAY.
That is very incomplete. You have to state what is the plan speed in both cases to be credible about the speed comparison.
Just called up the airtel customer care to cancel my Airtel broadband and landline connection.
It took me 30 minutes for this since the ladies in airtel CC and cancellations departments were trying to convince me even though i mentioned that I already have taken a new connection with better plan and less money and fed up of their FUP.
The customer care executives were adamant that FUP is mandatory by TRAI and every operator does that. I had to enlighten them that Reliance, MTNL for sure dont have any FUP.
So finally will be getting rid of airtel. I hope airtel retention dept does not call me else I will lose another 30 minutes in office
So the next step is chainging my airtel mobile to BSNL for 3G
Its better prefering a Local Cable wala or Reliance(for good service and value for money) Instead of wasting da money on sucktel!

Congrats!
They called me 3 times in all to retain me. But, I was adamant. :notallowed:
I demanded 1 Mbps Unlimited @ 1099 INR. I told them 100 GB Fair Usage Policy is fine with me. 1 Mbps till 100 GB, 512 Kbps thereafter. But they said such a plan will cost you 1399 INR per month. I told them to **** off.
Reliance is very good. It's been 11 days and I've already downloaded 45+ GB! :yahoo:
I also managed to somewhat fix that video streaming issue by switching to airtel DNS!

*ANY* kind of FUP is not fine for me.. I need an *unlimited* connection. Since competition is providing it now, Airtel has to too, or it can loose its premium customers. The ball is in your court Airtel!
