MTNL 3G @ Rs 4500 for 6 months is the best value for money plan as of now. You get unlimited connection with 2 mbps down and 1 mbps upload speed for Rs 750 per month. Since this is prepaid connection, service tax is included in Rs 4500.

BUT, before buying a USB dongle and the SIM, check if MTNL's signal is available in your home. In my office we get full signal in all rooms. In my home, signal is not available in many rooms and that is a problem.

Hi, Thanks for your concern. How to check ^^ ?
Thanks

Ok, I just called MTNL CC, and they say they have unified all APNs to gprsppsdel only..

Borrow a USB stick from a friend etc. and check on your PC in your home/office. I believe, that is the only way to be 100% sure because performance of wireless networks is different on different places.

This APN also works for me with no difference in speed.

I am also dumping Airtel because of FUP, will chk for BSNL 512kbps plan tomorrow. Hope its available in my area :P

BSNL bb should be available mostly every where around the country you just need to be patent that they have ports available, when I shifted a couple of years to a new area BSNL BB was in that area but they did not have any ports ready to give the broadband connection, I had to wait about 4 months and then got the connection.

Well, it's happened! Reached an Airtel warning page when I touched 26 GB. My speed is now 1Mbps....but still way better than 256kbps!!
