I meant that you're a kid with Airtel & its FUP. Be a man & choose something else.

Just read what how Airtel sells FUP plans.. had a good laugh on the generous limits given.. and the dubious statement that a small number of users can use the network so much that it impairs all hahahaha...

Airtel's Fair Usage Policy
Why a Fair Usage Policy?
A very small number of customers use an excessive amount of the network bandwidth, to the
extent that it can impair the experience of others. The intent of Airtel's Fair Usage Policy is to
provide the optimum internet experience to all customers.
What happens in Fair Usage Policy?
Under the policy we have defined fair usage levels for unlimited data transfer plans and
needless to mention, the usage levels set are very generous such that most customers will not
be affected by the Fair Usage Policy.
On reaching the fair usage level, the plan speed would be rationalized downwards for the rest of
the monthly billing cycle. You would also be communicated via email that the speeds for the rest
of the billing cycle month would be as per the Airtel’s Fair Usage Policy.
Please note that the speeds would be upgraded to the normal speeds at the start of the
next billing cycle.
What’s the impact of Fair Usage Policy on data transfer limits?
We assure you that the data transfer limits remain unlimited and no change has been made in
the same.

It is simple, in life once you want to upgrade yourself, you do comparisons with better ones. Once you are satisfied with your life, you live like a 'frog in the well'.

Airtel belongs to the second category. Offence!!

Let me give you an real life example which might be easier for you to understand what's wrong.

You may like to have better roads, fly overs, metro rail in the city. Still majority of people can live without it. People in tier 2 cities are satisfied with their existing infrastructure, unless they experience the developments in Metros.

Let me guess, you talk like a stubborn old chap. As a policymaker, you are the people who can take India to the next level. But lost the path midway. Sorry, but it is true.

According to their FUP , a person buying a game from steam is being "unfair" to other customers... perhaps they are getting some commission from palika DVD sellers :)(original games get updates as well.. pirated ones cannot get updates, so no bandwidth will be used, hence by pirating games you are being fair to the other users on the network, and to airtel.. hence by the transitive law we can prove that Airtel promotes piracy)

There is a justification for having a fair usage policy. However, there isn't much justification for the FUPs that Airtel has in place - I would say that while an FUP is important to have, it should be fair to the consumer (and these ones are not).

problem is people download those pirated games using p2p,lol and airtel doesn't like that.Let me make very cleare that I am not the supporter of AIRTEL's FUP with any justification.
