Yes, your speeds will be normal which you get, once your new bill cycle starts.

If you're lucky, yes. Else you will have to shout at customer care..

I would say that while an FUP is important to have, it should be fair to the consumer (and these ones are not).

Just waiting for your services to start in Chennai !

^Airtel is already providing services in chennai, may be in yr area is not under Airtel's coverage

Time to change your glasses......he's talking about HAYAI

This Airtel ad caught my attention today, "speeds so fast you can..download a movie in a few minutes". Now that's really false advertising, you would have already exceeded your FUP limit after anti-virus and Windows updates.

Check this out:
Airtel Customer Care, Customer Support: Broadband Internet

Does this means the minimum speed after FUP is set to 512 from 256 kbps? its confusing...
No, thats the old FUP. However, as it didnt irritate enough people, Airtel decided to introduce a new FUP.

The new FUP is mentioned with the broadband plans themselves.

The old FUP details were left there just to create confusion and irritate even more people.

(Airtels aim is no longer profit generation. Now its generation of confusion and irritation amongst its customer's, even if it comes at the cost of profit)
