Arent they forcibly migrating the old customers to the new plans with 256kbps after FUP as well?

After one and half years, Airtel finally reduced my FUP to 25GB from 100GB. But, they offered me 20% discount on 1999 plan so I'm migrating to that now.:dance:

Just look for alternatives, and get it disconnected. No use fighting with them. It's a major headache. Trust me, I know.

Every rule, every definition has a loophole here, which these companies know how to use..

For the most part, their FUP is haphazardly applied. On my 2 Mbps plan, I have a limit of 20 GB but I face no issues till I reach about 50 GB. Even after that, it seems to only drop down to 256kbps for a few hours a day. I simply restart my router (from the http page) when it drops and I'm right back up to 2 Mbps. Anyone else tried that?

That's why.

TRAI has recommended 512 kbps be recognized as definition of broadband speed. but it has not made mandatory thanks to cos like airtel.
