For the most part, their FUP is haphazardly applied. On my 2 Mbps plan, I have a limit of 20 GB but I face no issues till I reach about 50 GB. Even after that, it seems to only drop down to 256kbps for a few hours a day. I simply restart my router (from the http page) when it drops and I'm right back up to 2 Mbps. Anyone else tried that?
I had this same issue on my Surf999 plan since Jan 2011. 1Mbps till 75 GB then 512kbps. Fup was not reducing the speed since last 9 months, But since this month FUP is getting activated & even after restarting the MODEM the speed still gets reduced to 512kbps...

And I am under Freedom 2999 plan. I am supposed to get 2mbps till 100GB and then 1mbps. But this month I am getting only 256kbps. How could they change the plan speeds...
they have killed all their old plans. and only a few are lucky enough to still get the original plans with original FUPs. most of us were migrated to newer plans with shittier FUPs. i would suggest you to migrate to either the 1999 or 2099 plans.
that's what i said. TRAI had the option, but didn't, maybe cos of pressure/lobbying from cos like airtel
TRAI makes rules for such cheap companies to earn more.
