Tried to upgrade to one of these fiber plans, but my location is not supported (Tambaram). According to them, only few areas of Santhome is supported - I doubt they have up-to date information though.

I called the CS to inquire about feasibility, but they had no idea what was happening. Instead they asked me to contact Airtel by sending an email to 121, but even after four days and two bumps, I haven't received a reply yet.

Looking at @Vandhana's results, the 8 Mbps upload gives me great hope, I was afraid Airtel would still insist upon 512kbps or 1Mbps as UL speed.

As far as i know based on my previous connection and this one, upload speed is usually one eight of the connection speed. Strange though.
Majority of my friends residing in apartments at OMR got OFC connection. May be easy for us.

Okay, got a reply from Airtel. Unfortunately, they deny that the plans on the flyer I posted a few days back exist. Instead they insist that fiber connections only have three plans, Rs999 - 20mbps - 30GB data, Rs1299 - 40mbps - 60GB and Rs1599 - 40mbps - 100GB. The good thing is that the post FUP speed is 1mbps for the 40mbps plans.

@Vandhana, can you let us know what plan you are currently using?
