So, I try to finish off my data quota on the last day of the billing cycle. Yesterday was it so I had my download manager at full blast till midnight yesterday.

I just saw my Airtel SmartBytes page right now and noticed that they seem to have added my usage before midnight to the usage for the new billing cycle.

As per my own download counter, I have downloaded less than 200MB of data since midnight today. According to Airtel I have consumed 3.2 GB.

My Airtel website is not showing the usage for today right now.

I have sent a complaint and would update what happens.

The same thing happened to me at the start of the current billing cycle. I started at 146.49 GB. I didn't bother to raise any complaint as I know reclaiming false data usage is well nigh impossible with Airtel.

Smart Byte and Unbilled usage shows different readings for me alsoSmart Bytes = 20.45 GBUnbilled page = 17191860 KB

unbilled usage is bogus. it was still showing 135GB in the morning for me. pretty much 24 hour old data.

still no response to my complaint. and this is what i am getting right now on my 4mbps connection. has become usual with them. ping drops are regular. speed drops are regular. and now they are stealing bandwidth.

i got a sms confirmation when i submitted the form. today i got a sms with the name of the person along with his contact details. i guess since i submitted the form of friday, i would only be contacted on monday. no hurries coz i would only get airtel disconnected once the bsnl is installed and activated. i plan to consume the bandwidth on my airtel plan before asking for a disconnection. i am assuming that they would charge me on a pro-rata bases ignoring the bandwidth consumed. in any case, they are going to do the usual. charge me some weird fees or disconnect my connection at a later date. so why not consume the connection properly before asking for a disconnection.
