Airtel Broadband now has special plans in Chennai because of ACT Broadband

I've just shifted to palavakkam n rang up airtel for broadband.sales person said its 1099 plan 75gb 8mbps..my usage won't be much..is there any lower plans available?????

[Stumbled across this informative forum while searching if Airtel is really offering 500 GB Broadband plans]

I got a call today from Airtel representative Hema (who said she actually works for "Tri Business solutions") and offered me 500 GB plan for Rs.3000 like you guys mentioned already.

Currently paying Rs.2499 for 200 GB (+25 GB top up) so happily accepted the new plan and was told that the plan change would take place in 24 hours..

Excited!!

A service engineer told me that they're testing VDSL at the nearest exchange and might be implemented in the next 2 or 3 months. He showed me a speedtest screenshot of 65 mbps.

VDSL gives more upload speeds - >1 mbps..it seems:clap:
