the dect 6 cordless phone i have does not support indian caller id tech. an adapter is available. costs 800 rupees on ebay. have not bought it yet.
 
dunno. i have seen devices at relatives places for years. now they are more likely to get abused if you have kids at home. so i guess they break or go bad after a while. :\
 
that generally does not happen :D someone might have cut the cable outside. :P ping airtel on twitter to call you back in the morning.
 
I already raised a complaint at 198. Thinking if its rains or somebody purposefully cut...
 
rains generally does not affect airtel. unless of course your local wiring is not done properly :P
