goodevening friends,My friends got this modem (mfg date:Mar07) with airtel connection. Now when he tries to connect to azurius/emule,etc. it says that you are behind firewall.. so do i have to forward the corresponding manually in beetel's 220bx modem? If yes, then can someone tell me how to? I can access NAT page in modem configuration. Then what? EG. i want to forward ports 10000 and 20000 only. What do i enter in Internal, External start, stop ports? (There is this software called Airtel netXpert also. will it be helpful for port forwarding? Looks like it cannot Block/Unblock a single port, but predefined collection of ports.....?)Secondly, Without starting a new thread, i would like to ask whether i can disable Remote Access within Airtel's 220BX1 modem for safety? What other options i can take for safety of the account(prevent hacking/remote usage)?-thanks.

OK, i successfully forwarded desired ports through Modem Settings interface(192.168.1.1).OK, read previous posts abt netexpert and seems that its crap. i will remove it.Also there is a s/w called "Airted Subagent Post Data 1.0.0" in add/remove progs list. What is that? Is the connection being monitored by airtel?BTW, Airtel executive put his name, etc in netXpert software. WHy was that and how will it affect my comp/connection?

Well just remove that software. It will not affect your connection in any way. That subagent thing could be a part of it, i personally have never heard of it.
