ok no problem. working good here without any fup for now. Though currently I haven't put full load on it as my other cable net connection is also working which I won't recharge next month then full chromecast streaming load would come on Airtel. would be the real test.

Yeah, I suppose we'll see what happens after everyone finishes their October billing cycle. But just as a background, my billing date is the 21st of each month, IIRC, and I only got this issue on the 31st. I wonder what's with the delay in my case? Static IP users seem to be FUP-ed randomly.
Spoke to a CC exec. today; he told me that this policy change has been known to him since 12th of October and that non-FUP Static IP is going to be phased out for everybody, no exceptions. Got one of their base plans, the 300 or so rupee discount I got in retention will carry over, thankfully, to lessen the blow. My usage is not that heavy (~150GB/mo), so I don't feel as hit by it to make a switch to someone else (not that I have many alternate options either).
Also while talking about 16Mbps feasibility, he said something about Airtel expanding its fibre network soon (in my locality!) within 3-4 months, so we're going to see those 24Mbps plans on their website soon in action I guess.

DEN Boomband speed test. Tried at a neighbour's place. Want to shift to it. But I am stuck with shittel as family members are against disconnecting it due to its free calling facility.
Shifted to a new 2mbps, 50GB plan on shittel. Plus it is down for the past 2 days and it will take one more day. Anyone facing the same issue. This is the highest downtime I have seen in 2 years with airtel.

The small plan of shittel starts at 650 and along with call charges total bill will be around 800 and Den will be around 1000 so total bill of both the connection will be 2000 which is not justified. Guess I am stuck with shittel.
