I had a previous backup configuration file, which I restored on the modem. But with no help. The GB are still getting counted in app. But smartbytes doesn't open.

May be they updated your software...

Hello Everyone,

I am using static Ip from 1 year and there was no FUP applied after static ip. Earler they have rental of 450p.m but now they have reduced it to 150 p.m . Have also confirmed the same with one of the airtel engineer . They have glitch in the system with that they are not able to track the data usage for static ip users, to overcome the issue they have hired a company and the glitch is now removed and now we all are back on FUP. I have DVR (CCTV) installed this FUP is killing me like hell. 16mbps to 512 kbps is very less at least it should me 2 mbps for 16 mbps user.

Hey some people still say static IP at 450 not cc . local guys in your area have u confirmed that?
And does now 150 wala plan static plan is not offering u any extra GB??

They just changed FUP over static IP users few days back, that is the reason they have changed the rental for static IP from 450 to 150. I mean for that you have to get the price changed . Airtel is not doing it by themself for all static ip users. The local airtel guy told me people were misusing the plan and they go for lower FUP plan and get static ip addition to have unlimited internet.

I called airtel today and they said that static ip will work only on cctcs..means they have directed some dhcip to only camera devices and there must ne a way to divert it to all devices from 198.168.1.1. Any one technical here who can resolve ??

You can use static ip for any server hosting. With FUP it is impossible to host a site. The static ip is configured to the ADSL router and there are several ports for cctc/ftp/web services that can be used over static ip but when FUP comes in picture your whole data b/w will be exhausted. I am using CCTV and FTP server over static IP by airtel. There is no such condition that you have to use CCTV only.

Spectranet has better plans at better price but we have only airtel in our society. It's like a MAFIA if you need Internet or DTH have to go with airtel only .
