i know once i installed that Bitcomet acceleration patch and all acceleration i got was in my BWmeter readings, they were showing inflated values. And airtel's speed test servers suck, i use http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ , the new york server.

It is only server fault. he show actually already exist speed test then you run the test and he just put memory to your screen. this time that speed is possible. i have also 128 unlimited in my office i am tested and he shows my speed is 89 MB but i am download something my speed is 17KB/s.
I recently subscribed for Airtel DSL@Bangalore (Plan 999/256Kbps/Unlimited downloads)Unfortunately, I have no idea of what speed (Actual Download Speed) I should get while using such a connection.I never saw the Airtel's Speed Test crossing 245Kbps and the maximum download speed never exceeds 35Kbps.I had a perception that such a connection should actually give me a regular download speed of over 90Kbps but I feel pretty sick to see around 30Kbps.Can someone provide me some information on the settings if they are incorrect or thats the way such connection would be...Pe@cENitin
Nitin. You are absolutely fine. The speeds you are getting is the correct speed.Your connection speed of 256 kbps is in kilo BITS per second.Your download speed that you said 30-35 is kilo BYTES per second. Thats the max speed for that connection. If you dont understand , just chk howstuffworks or wikipedia on bits&bytes.
