Hi everyone,
I’m on Airtel Xstream Fiber, and I’m facing a strange issue with PUBG PC (Steam).
The issue:
Whenever I launch PUBG PC and join a match, I sometimes get stuck on a black screen with smoke/fog effects after the game loads.
Why I think it’s network-related:
Things I’ve tried:
Suspected cause:
Looks like Airtel’s routing, NAT, or firewall might be interfering with PUBG’s asset streaming or connection to certain servers. Some textures/effects fail to load, and the game gets stuck on the placeholder smoke screen.
Request:
Thanks in advance for any help.

- If I reset my Windows Firewall, it works fine for a while.
- If I use Cloudflare WARP (1.1.1.1 VPN), the issue never happens.
- When I was using a Jio Fiber free trial, I never had this issue at all — it only happens on Airtel.
Why I think it’s network-related:
- Cloudflare WARP fixes it (changes routing).
- Firewall reset temporarily fixes it (possibly clearing blocked connections).
- GPU and hardware are fine — other games work perfectly.
- Only happens on Airtel Fiber.
Things I’ve tried:
- Verified game files on Steam.
- Updated GPU drivers.
- Changed DNS to 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8.
- Allowed PUBG and Steam through Windows Firewall.

Request:
- Anyone else on Airtel Fiber facing this with PUBG PC?
- Any known routing issues to PUBG servers on Airtel?
- Will port forwarding help in this situation?
Thanks in advance for any help.
