Here's something I tumbled upon. Airtel is giving "broad"-band at 64kbps and I thought TRAI had told ISPs to stop terming plans "broad"-band dubiously?
Most of the plans that are below 256kbps have been shifted to the "Internet plan" category. I suppose that Airtel will argue here that they are giving 256kbps at night so it is counted as broadband. Not that the TRAI gives a crap about the state of internet, else we would be all enjoying 2mbps+ by now like the rest of the world.
ya still it is not a good plan... airtel marketing people need to think of better plans
Ya like 2mbps UL @ 1.5k
I am waiting eagerly for broadband wars to start.. like few years ago because of competition call rates in mobiles were cut drastically ( I give full credit to reliance for that )
well, The war of mobiles isnt over yet..Im expecting 30 paise per min for STD calls and 20 paise for local...and yeah!! the War of ISP doesnt seem to happen as long as so called TRAI revises its setup. They should press hard so that all ISP shud make 512Kbps as minimum speed.
