Airtel hikes price of 2 prepaid packs

Airtel removes Rs 118 and Rs 289 plans from prepaid list, now users will have to pay more to get the same benefits

Bharti Airtel has silently increased the prices of its prepaid mobile recharge plans, the Rs 118 and Rs 289 plans now cost Rs 129 and Rs 329 respectively.

₹118 - 12GB data pack hiked to ₹129
₹289 - 4GB/UL Calls/35 days pack hiked to ₹329

Also, Airtel seems to be back with its tricks of providing customized pack benefits for different users
for example, the above ₹329 pack is showing 5GB/UL Calls/56 days for certain users

Just keeping sims active is becoming very expensive.

Does Airtel have plans with only calling benefit, data is not required.

Even recharging with balance is of no help as there is no validity.

What’s the lowest monthly recharge to keep the sim active.

That’s a long commitment, they should come out with call only plans and not push data packs when not required.

It used to be exactly like that but jio made calls free and charge only for data. Small Rs10 recharge was enough to keep sim active. Even without recharge you could get lifetime validity which didn't lasted lifetime.

Now operators don't want to maintain low spending customers.
