Thnx for the help guys especially x720.I will check my airtel modem using new power plug and see if it restarts again if it does then i will switch to bsnl.
LOL, I'm fed up with BSNL service, the experience here written about airtel is the same I face with BSNL, noisy line, thus I do not get the 4mbps speed as per my 1350ULD plan, have complaint in numerous times, and everytime the call automatically gets closed without the lineman even visiting the house. He did visit on the 1st complain, I was not there and he told my wife that the noise is not there in the main MDF and that the ethernet cable between my modem & router is faulty which is causing noise. I connected a new handset onto the building MDF and found the line to be still noisy. So I'm now considering shifting to something else.
This shows how poor our telecom service industry is, there is not one telecom player with a peaceful service resolution mechanism. Very sad state of affairs.
