Airtel is rolling out IPv6 on their wired broadband services

now i wonder how hard it would be to turn on bridge mode on the airtel vdsl router and move the control to erx running openwrt. 🤔

@Sushubh It's not hard if you got the Beetle 777 modem with VDSL. Btw, you are getting the IPv6 under Wan Interfaces or Wan IPv6 Interfaces in your VDSL connection?

i have dragon path something?

The UI looks exactly same to the Beetle one that I have so bridging shouldn't be difficult? though I am not getting an IPv6 address yet (on VDSL).

EDIT: IPv6 not yet available on my VDSL connection in Delhi

i am guessing i have the beetel device but the firmware is from this company. the password thing is part of html. it's a number. not sure if it is indeed the pppoe password?

Just checked on the back of the modem it says "Manufactured by Dragon Path". The password is your airtel account number for the broadband.

My connection was getting frequent disconnects yesterday. When I called the airtel lco guy, he said they (airtel) are upgrading their routers and it will be fixed soon. I am still getting a IPV4 address but I guess it had something to do with this or maybe they are implementing CGNAT.
