Airtel 3G PR: Launch before 2010 end. Little else… DUH.

looks like they are not going to match Tata DOCOMO launch date (by November 5). the official word remains before the end of the year.

^ MNP, if only Tata Docomo had bribed the powers-that-be quickly enough they would have a huge advantage by launching 3G before everyone else (it seems Vodafone is launching in Q1 2011).
As for Airtel PR, we've already seen their informative post in the other thread telling us to stay tuned and more information will be coming shortly.

the word i got from the airtel team was that they do not want the service launch to be a disappointment for their customers. tata docomo 3g users are reportedly finding too many issues regarding the quality of calls and so on. of course, the government's regulations are not helping. from what i heard... they are doing extensive tests in areas where they are going to launch it. and they want to ensure that the launch is successful and the customers opting for their 3G services are satisfied from the day 1. they have a reputation to manage and they do not want to risk it like docomo did by launching it so early.

So Airtel 3G service will most probably start in January.
