I doubt it. They know from the use profile that this customer has not much use for the landline. He has been making zero calls since the beginning. The infrastructure is laid. So it is a good opportunity for them to make something out of nothing. And yes, I'm not sure about the terms but it would be a big downer if it says unlimited A-A only.

so what is the FUP on landlines by airtel  and if we cross it will our talking be halfed by airtel like you can only talk for 12 hrs now and not 24hrs ....and from next billing cycle you can talk back to 24hrs

another special offer just for me...

Of course there seems to be a catch here: Did anyone else notice that (at least for the Rs100 image) it says unlimited Airtel fixed to Airtel fixed calls? That means you still have to pay to call Airtel mobiles or any other network. Hayai is planning on doing just that for all voice customers free of charge (we're basing our tariff structure on this Xnet VFX :: Welcome to Exceptional VoIP Service at Better Prices - keep in mind that ALL landline calls within your local calling area are ALWAYS free as it was a requirement when the government privatized Telecom in the late 1980's, but the fact that I can call any other Xnet customer anywhere in the country for free - or the world if a customer happens to take their VOIP device with them - is the special part).

Now, if only Airtel would make data between Airtel broadband customers free-of-charge THEN they'd have a huge selling point for their million-or-so ADSL customers.

Yup my eyes never misses this asterisk sign. View is awesome when there are "*", "**" and even "#" sometimes :D

I have recently got the Airtel Broadband connection, I paid 500 as Installation charges.Airtel took 850 for the modem which I have to buy from Airtel and then pay 550/- for the phone (I did not opt for there landline), When I asked the sales guy if I can use my own phone he said, No I have to buy the telephone instrument from Airtel itself.. Now they have put me in 899/- plan which gives me 100 calls free every month. For what are they giving me 100 calls free when am not using there land-line at all !!

Now that BSNL has STD@Local rates, is there some chance that Airtel etc will do the same?

You didn't have to buy the phone instrument. I didn't!
