Airtel launches Priority / Fastlane Postpaid For 5G

Jio SA on other hand is having following:

250-300 mbps down
5-10 mbps up

Latency:

10-12 ms idle
500-1000 ms down
200-500 ms up

So a crap show on upload speed and loaded latency on jio

Similar experience.
Latency and download speed is great on Airtel, however upload speed is capped at 50 Mbps for me.
Stopped using Jio altogether.

After couple of days of testing… it seems that airtel 5g SA fastlane is consuming more than double the battery than on NSA

battery drain overnight is 10% with SA and 3-4 % with NSA

Signal strength of SA: -68 dbm
Signal strength of NSA: -75 to -80 dbm

It could just be it switching constantly between SA & NSA, leading to battery drain.

I have set it to 5g ON and not auto. So from my side it is not switching. Might be airtel turning on and off the stack

5G on does not mean it will stick to SA. The setting checks whether it should transition to 4G. If it goes to NSA, the control will connect to 4G regardless.

I mean i have strong 5g signal in my area. So it should not switch that often unless its tower congestion by lot of users.

But if its congestion then i will not get 500mbps speed which i always get.

Seems airtel is doing something at their end
