Airtel Mobile is now auto-renewing Airtel 3G plans for prepaid users?

Ok so if we don't want that 250 plan for the next month they again auto reactivate and if the bal is avl then 250 is gone kaput..

They used to renew automatically on EDGE when I used it. I liked it back then. Now I am not sure. Since I stay at home most of the time, I tend to recharge only when I go out which can be on the same day when the previous plan expires or it can be seven days later.

How tough it is to have a *121*XXX0# code by dialing which "none of the schemes" get auto-renewed.
And *121*XXX1# would mean that you want auto-renewal.
But no, only option which will fetch money will be introduced.

vodafone doesn't auto renew now that trai has banned it. i guess rules are not applicable for airtel ! they are over and above such petty rules.

Yup even Idea doesn't auto renew. Probably Airtel is above law and everything else.

Airtel is certainly above LAW, they suck money from customer and TRAI sleeps with it,.
I am sure users who have less available balance will be renewed on a smaller pack but Airtel based on past pattern will deduct something
for sure.
Why Doesn't Govt. Bans this shady operator all together and in best interest of public.

Email TRAI. They apparently take some action when people write to them.
