With so much hype around the Per Second billing, even I was about to get carried away. Then just my concious said, let me analyse my usage pattern and my current bill plan.I have an airtel postpaid connection with 995 as Advance rent for 2 years.Call charges are Local (any) - 50p/min STD(Any) - Re 1/Min.My usage is 100%local apart from 1-5 SMS/month.Upon analysis of my past 3 months bill I found out that after changing to the Freedon 249 Plan, I would be in a loss rather profit.Reason: - 1.Long calls mean a saving a 10p/min.2.Free seconds are only 10500 (effective 175 minutes)This plan translates that for the first 175 minutes, the call rate is roughly 2.37p/sec. (if taxes are excluded). So my suggestion would be that rather that going with the wave, analyse and only then move on.Finally, How often do we make a just 10-15 sec call or how often a call drops at 1minutes 2sec? Just check your bills once.

Is the tariff applicable from the first second? or like i was tricked in the last scheme which gave me 60 paise per secnd but only after one call

thats why I am using 2 conenctions now
one for shorter calls and other for longer

Instead of subscribing to Airtel's stupid roaming service, go for SIMPLY RELIANCE PLAN with 3 plans to choose from :
1) Rs.0.01 per second (Rs.61 for customers taking new SIM and Rs.58 for existing customers)
visit : Welcome to Reliance Communications
http://img187.imageshack.us/img187/555/rpps.jpg,

2) Rs.0.50 per minute (Rs.51 for customers taking new SIM and Rs.48 for existing customers)
visit : Welcome to Reliance Communications

and

3) Rs.1.00 for 3 minutes (Rs.41 for customers taking new SIM and Rs.38 for existing customers)
visit : Welcome to Reliance Communications

Mobile to mobile (normal) sms within India is charged Rs.0.50 per sms for all the above plans.

The above tariffs are applicable on roaming also.

AIRTEL flop. Waste tariff on roaming (Rs.0.60 to Airtel and Rs.0.80 to other networks). Airtel flops. LOL LOL LOL LOL. I think all those who support Airtel regarding roaming tariffs are BLIND. LOL LOL LOL.

Hey you slum guy max90. Go and change your handset and do not be selfish to buy new handset. Instead of wasting money on costly operators, go for Reliance. Reliance was started in Jan 2009. Even Airtel would have been like Reliance in beginning. Think with common sense.
