Airtel replaces Rs. 299 pack with Rs. 349 and discontinues four prepaid plans

Airtel has discontinued four prepaid plans priced at Rs 299, Rs 579, Rs 619 and Rs 649 across India, with the Rs 299 plan being replaced by a Rs 349 offering. The new Rs 349 pack offers 2GB of daily data for 28 days, compared with 1.5GB under the Rs 299 plan.

What an amazing trick by these companies to raise ARPU.
Instead of increasing the cost of the base plan, they are removing them to avoid media & public noise.
