The technician saw the jio stb next to the airtel stb. He told me why not use that sir since they have given it to you. Since there are 2 tv's I am not sure which would be cheaper jio (am on bronze plan) or airtel dth. If I opt for jio then I will have to opt for either silver or gold plan. But I don't feel like putting all my eggs in one basket

If you are thinking of completely relying on Jio STB for primary TV connection , then make sure you think once . A traditional DTH still cannot be replaced until now , maybe in the future . The downtime of Jio Fiber will also bring down your TV connection also . It is better to have a Tata Sky or Airtel DTH for normal TV usage . and Jio STB for 2nd TV


Also TRAI is planning to make Standard Set top Boxes a norm for people to switch easily just like Mobile Network Portability
