4 Jul, 2008

NEW DELHI: Mobile operators Airtel and Tata Indicom have slashed their pre-paid tariff rates from on Friday and launched new schemes in order to retain their existing customers and woo new clients.

Bharti has announced that from today onwards, all its pre-paid customers in Delhi and NCR region would be able to make local calls to any mobile or landline at 50 paisa per minute by recharging with Rs 49.

The recharge would have a validity of 30 days but would not have any talk-time, it added.

Similarly, Tata Indicom has announced that with a recharge of Rs 499, Tata Indicom prepaid customers can make unlimited free local and STD calls to all tata phones across the country.

Also, with this recharge, which has a validity period of 30 days, customers can make local and STD calls to any other networks at 50 paisa and Rs 1.5 per minute respectively, said a company release.

Truly all telecom operators fooled all over india except tamilnadu. because we use long time 5paise, 10paise per minute in pre paid, 30p free 200min, 400min and so on., in post paid. and unlimited local+national sms for Just Rs.75, 20000 local sms on 60 Rs booster pack. Plans avilable in Airtel, Aircel, Vodaphone.all are avilable in booster packs. But other than tamilnadu, the minimum call charge Rs.75 and above. why the operators are cheating others.I'm living in tamilnadu i enjoyed all the features long time of calling airtel to airtel 10p and 5p@night, 0.49p other mobile. and 20000 local sms.
