Absolutely. May be vodafone could try something like, existing customers who are with vodafone they get subsidized iPhone after checking their past track record.

Just received an email from Apple India with the subject: iPhone 3G is coming August 22. Watch the guided tour.When you click on where to buy it's shows Vodafone and Airtel so both will be launching the same day i guess.Airtel clearly states this on their website but, vodafone still says comming soon.....
