These are issues with some remote servers...not with Airtel.

Airtel may have to change the routing. It's best you contact 121 and let them know. Also send an email to esupport at in.airtel.com with details.

@Chip are you sure about it .? Because which ever server i choose in apex legends for example , singapore , tokyo , frankfurt , i do get packet loss.. Also i did ask airtel for the routing change but they said they cant do it

did tests with excitel
showing 0% packet loss on India and
0.4% loss in singapore ( after 2-3 tests)

@Captivating Since you mention you get loss.. what is the loss percentage? How did you find that out?
Also, on the mention of apex legends, test IPs for that.
Do remember, we can only diagnose here. If the issue is not on the local end, there is nothing we can do.
The root cause of loss is probably between your Airtel Gateway AS24560 first hop and the interconnect (second hop) with AS9498.

@Captivating any issue related to routing has to be addressed by Airtel and only AIrtel. We the users cannot change routing tables/paths. Try and get a different IP that MAY (I stress on MAY) take an alternative route to the remote hop and prevent packet loss. If Airtel absolutely refuses to help then your only options are escalation or moving to another ISP.

Also, if the remote server/hop is at fault then you really cant do anything other than trace the owner company of the IP and contact them via a webadmin email address. Check WhoIS and get this information. Remember, even that is a short in the dark.

I got 70% packet loss while playing dota 2.

Anyone know how to raise service request for ping issue via airtel app no option to complain

@minuteman whats your location .
@Lolita_Magnum @Chip guys I am also sure that packet loss is occurring on the first 2 hops , I even showed the request timed out images but they straight away said that there are lot of restrictions on the gateway hence there could be a packet loss and they can’t do anything about it . They kept asking me the ip address of apex legends servers to fix the issue . I did email ea but they said they don’t provide ip of the game servers for security reasons . This is really frustrating.

Airtel guys are like you know your car is faulty now find which part is faulty and we will simply come and replace it . Come on I am not a network engineer. You guys are drawing free salary and can’t even fix a simple packet loss issue . Airtel is going down the road of idea and Vodafone to be honest.

You can get the IP of EA's server by pinging it using the host name but it may be only a load balancer not the end server actually.

What gateway restrictions are they talking about? Airtel works perfectly fine here. What you're facing is a localised problem and can only be fixed by the NOC at your end. Have you tried using a VPN? It will add latency but at least you have a different route.
