how much bandwidth is assigned to each fatbox? and what for odf?

Airtel keeps broadband and 4G backbone separate; up to a certain extent while Jio does not. This helps increasing the GPON bandwidth albeit at the expense of a slightly higher latency.
There is no such thing as policers for each fatbox; it also comes down to how much is fiber being overutilized and how many splits are they going for; good signal is not really the complete story and lastly if the firewall or the BNG is any good in terms of QOS, management, state awareness.
The above sections are usually quite difficult to troubleshoot unless one is a well-versed expert.

For Airtel 9498 and 24560; there are two completely different teams controlling these sections.
All routing related equipment stays in the datacenter; that'd be your Tier3 and Tier4 data centers.
By the way, all Mumbai Metro fibers are controlled by Microscan.
Speeds improve by midnight; thankfully.

Oh, thanks for explaining well. Yeah Im also getting 500+ now, will suck in the morning again. BTW why isps like airtel cant upgrade their bandwidth? Whats stopping them to?

It's not a bandwidth issue.

And residential fiber is not their cash cow infact it's somewhat a loss and nor is a priority for them. They expanded just to give Jio an L, nothing more nothing less.

Any solution to packet loss now it's getting worse even streaming won't work properly. Also is their broadband infrastructure shared with their 4g services? I currently getting dialup speeds when I use Airtel 4g especially on 2300 Mhz band

The reason for packet loss is their network is congestion specially route to Delhi , if you do speeed test 10 times out of which 5 times the speed will be like 5 to 30 mbps . I did raise complaints many times but looks like their seniors are sleeping and drawing free salary.
