@nerdseeder raise the complaint again. and if they do not resolve it. again raise the complaint. Do that until they resolve your issue.
I am sure. If you observe you will see your Rx power fluctuates frequently and I think that is the culprit.

Hey I think it's a problem with your optical power levels. ONT's don't exactly have the correct measurements. They just work if the levels are right, and if it's borderline, they report sufficient levels in the webUI, which isn't ideal in reality.

Make sure there's no mismatch between APC and PC interface between your fiber tip and ONT. PC/APC mismatch sometimes does work, but can cause problems if you're at the edge of the network.

Also ask your engineer/LCO to come with an optical fiber meter and check the readings properly. Don't rely on what the ONTs report through their webUI.

If your LCO/engineer doesn't help you out because of lockdown or laziness, ask them if they could raise OLT power levels temporarily for a day and see if it resolves. This will require you to trust that they will actually do it.

I asked them many times about Optical power and they are saying it is fine. Even escalated this issue to Appellate and on social media (twitter). Following up this issue from last 2 weeks. I am on 1 GBPS plan and thinking to downgrade my plan as not able to use it. Currently using TSBB as my primary ISP.

TSBB fiber cable is with 2 cores. As I am in high rise apartment they were not able to pull dedicated cable for Airtel so they used second unused fiber core in TSBB.

Okay. So still sounds like the splicing might have got messed up at either of the ends, since the LCO is sure that power levels are okay.

I also observed that VOIP works fine. I tested it during 100% packet loss, I can make and receive voice call on landline.

Downgraded my plan to 100MBPS. It already more then 2 weeks and not seeing any hope of issue getting fix.
