Airtel Xstream Broadband launches All in One TV plans

Hi @Lolita_Magnum,

As mentioned above, my building is wired with Airtel Fiber, just the final installation and router allotment is pending. Can you please suggest which router to ask from the guy, wherein I can use my own router after bridging from the Airtel's router (my router: GL-MV1000 / Brume).

Nokia is the best for bridging.
Sercomm works too, and it is what @Lolita_Magnum was using until he was on Airtel.
ZTE can be bridged, but I personally faced many issues when using it for bridge mode. YMMV

I am not sure about any video, but in very basic terms, bridge mode disables any routing features for that port. This enables you to dial PPPoE from your second router

Hey @Lolita_Magnum and @doineedto
Small query. Finally I got my Airtel FTTH working. But the problem is the speeds to international servers are as good as my local cable wala. I am on 200Mbps plan on Airtel. My cable wala used to throttle US servers at 7-8Mbps. I checked speeds on Airtel for Nyc and it ain't crossing above 8Mbps. Further, for UK region as well my cable wala used to throttle at 15-18Mbps. Same is the case with Airtel which stands at 17-19Mbps. Its like all my expectations are watered down. Please note I got the connection activated just two hours back. feeling frustrated.

Please guide how should I be tacking this with the Airtel CC executives OR higher authorities

I think, its your connection. I did a test on PVDataNet server in NYC and got 74 down and 30 up. I am on 100Mbps plan so this is fine considering the distance and 265 ms ping

Pardon me if this is a bit off topic, but do Airtel Black plans (Fiber + Dth, 1099 particularly) have long term subscription discounts like 7.5/15 % on Fiber plans?

Here you go @itachi
