This has been there on Airtel website from a long time now, just that the thread creator noticed it today after the plan changes. Wouldn't make too much of it considering a lot of other stuff on there doesn't make sense and is just glorified nothing.

I think what it implies is the QoS feature which the router has. Prioritising the bandwidth for certain devices/functions like gaming etc.
But you never know about these marketing materials :)

I don't think Jio's network will suffer. They invested in this fiber network for years and they knew what they were doing all the time. They're in this for a very long term. They've given it for beta testing for 2 even 3 years to some people. Yes these new plans can cause massive date surge but they knew it.

Airtel and all others are catching up, getting caught unprepared. Airtel suddenly matched the plans. Airtel is expanding hastily through LCOs now to cities where there were no signs of them till last year. Their backend may not come under too much pressure but Airtel's last mile connectivity isn't well tested till now. LCO's involvement may ruin the experience for end users and reputation for airtel. It may become another excitel or BSNL in LCO cities

Could it mean that if you need to upload something @ 100 mbps while you're download something else @ 200 mbps, your download speed will be reduced to 100 mbps until the upload is completed, thereby meeting the overall advertised speed of 200 mbps?
