i cant use any call blocker due to my nature of profession, and these calls always come around 3-5pm when i anticipated majority of important official calls & is busiest period of my working hours. :(
i ask counter question all telecaller, how they get my number & based on their feedback, i suspected that its airtel only who sold the database,
It's sad to be in such a state, but I fail to get it. Why not block just the spamming numbers, you don't have to block a certain series or a lot of numbers. If you get calls from 10 or 20 different numbers then block those 10 or 20 numbers and problem solved. I don't see any reason of not using call blocking apps ,especially, if you are being disturbed during your most precious time at work, like in your case.
And as it goes for counter questioning in hope to know how they got your number - I think you are in for a huge disappointment because you would hardly know the truth and no party would agree to wrong-doing. It's just a waste of time to even say 'hello' to such spammers, so best way to avoid them keeping your peace of mind is to somehow block them.

Counter questioning does not help :)
1st instance: I asked caller where you got my number. He replied, he got from database. I asked which database. He said database which we receive from above. I asked above from where. He said he had no idea.
2nd instance: I asked caller where you got my number. She said she gets from her agency. I told give me agency details. That girl started pleading that sorry sir I am student, I just work for few hours where we get list of number, mobile to call. Then we make calls.
3rd instance: I politely told caller that if can't provide me source, at least why can't you check that my number is DND. So he replied that scheme which he wants to tell is of my benefit. I shouted that are you idiot, don't you see that I am getting disturbed. Then caller told me to mind my language. I hang up, but he kept calling 2-3 times again. I blocked that number. (Now I have blocked all calls starting from 011 and 012 which I think is STD code for NCR. I know nobody whom I know will call from those landline numbers :))
4th instance: Just yesterday, I got call from girl for LIC. I again started asking her source, which she did not knew. Then I started telling her about DND. She simply said, if you don't want to listen, simply say that, why telling me other things. I was shocked at her attitude :O
So most of the time, I don't speak anything just keep phone aside, or keep holding near ears without saying anything :D

@SVK - Exactly my point. No sense in talking, no one's going to give you their neck for hanging. Also when it comes to being rude, no one is more rude than Airtel recovery agents.
