Guys this is the first time I have bought something from the AliExpress (direct shipping from china).
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-Shipping-Large-Key-Universal-Multifunction-Remote-Control-For-LCD-LED-HD-TV-Sets/841274690.html
Can you please let me know the answers for the following questions if you have the prior Aliexpress shopping experience?
- Expected time of the product delivery, Aliexpress says it will be 15 to 60 days.
- Product is being shipped by China Post Air Mail, so who will be delivering it to me? Indian Post?
- Will I need to pay any Custom charges? Total amount of the product is $5.53 (around 342 INR, today).

I have such a tread on TE forum as well. Do check that.Btw expect almost no customs, will come in post. Keep track Of the tracking number you have been given and if it does not work after 12 days or so contact the seller and if his answer is not convincing open a disputeFrom AliExpress forums the Ali express buyer protection is useless and won't help you get your money back.

Thanks for the reply friend.

I am planning to buy a phone from China based aliexpress.com
They ship through DHL and are charging me about $50 for the shipping of the item. What I want to know is would DHL get it cleared from the customs or duties would have to be payed by me.
Any one bought stuff from china before?

An unusual thing happened today. I was looking at a product on AliExpress which I liked. I wondered if their payment system accepted debit card payments. I use bank of baroda cards. I clicked "buy" and headed towards the payment page. I chose VISA and entered the debit card details expecting two things:1) I would be prompted to enter my online shopping passwordor2) I would get some "unable to make payment" error saying I needed an international credit card or something. To my surprise, I was given a payment successful page. My immediate thought was that the aliexpress website was stupid. But then 20 seconds later I got an SMS informing a debit transaction. :shocked:Has anyone experienced this? I think my bank screwed me here. Why didn't they ask me for my online transaction password? AHoles!!!

Unbelievable!!So if someone finds my lost debit card and uses the printed information on it on an online shopping website like AliExpress or dhgate and ships the item to his relative in srilanka, I can't do anything about it, Im f#$ked?I can picture it all in advance. I launch a complaint with mumbai police. They forward it to their cyber cell who send an email to a srilankan police station in colombo about an alleged fraud. The srilankans link the incident with the indian govt supporting the LTTE in the 90s and press the email delete button. WTF?

So you enter your debit card details randomly for fun? The securecode thing applies only to Indian sites.
