As the thread name suggests, I'm using PPPoE with my Asus rtax86u router. 400mbps plan. Alliance BB. Weird thing is before PPPoE, connection was rock steady. After PPPoE, both IPv6 and IPv4 sites (websitr independent ig...altho saw whatsapp and instagram facing more issues than normal sites), at times, for 2-3 secs, connection drops. Using TP-Link X007 ont. Configured internet vlan (req by isp) on the ont itself. Complained previously but they claim no issues. Clueless. Last option is to use the isp provided Syrotech ont. Or shall reset my tplink ont and configure vlan on my router?

I am facing DNS issues on Alliance. Some websites like SBI Yono, Unipay don't open on default Alliance settings. Internet also has issues on different apps just like you. And yes before PPPoE, the connection was rock solid. Even my friends who are still on old setup they don't any such issues like me all under the same LCO. So it has to be the PPPoE thing but even when I moved back to Static this issues did not get solved. It's like we fucked up and the company is not ready yet with this change.

Hardware is exactly same at your place there can be 2 problems.
1) pppoe due to you, in that case MTU might be problem lower that manually.
2) if ISP on its own moving connection to pppoe then there might be some changes at their end and now g7 is not fully compatible or just 1st issue.

@Rhishav check if their static is over pppoe or static IP is configured over router. If static IP is over pppoe then 8bit overhead of pppoe will be there.
