the problem is a lot of people think selling online is easy money, they would see oh I can source this product at 1/4 rates and make a lot of profit, they would not consider
Amazon selling fees, referral fees, packaging, logistics, operation cost, packaging, fraud, loss , competition, sourcing cost , amazon policies etc.
And its pretty easy to get started you need GST. There are lot of youtubers now who are also teaching people this.
So when reality hits them they would have already invested money and now they lose their mind. Many people don't have any
business plan or money or something to fallback onto.
Selling online is super hard if you are selling generic products. The competition is cut throat and lot of frauds, return loss. If you cannot make profit stop selling online.
