I just got in touch with cc through the app(contact us- call) and told them to cancel my subscription prematurely as it made sense to renew it at a cheaper rate.They happily did so and i resubscribed at 499..Thanks for the post above

get on customer care chat.
tell them to cancel your prime.
renew after it is canceled.
